Community Workshop #1 Summary
The first Community Workshop for the Lithium Valley Specific Plan and Programmatic Environmental Impact Report was held in-person on the evening of January 19, 2023 at the Calipatria High School Auditorium. The purpose of the meeting was to hear the community’s thoughts and concerns with regards to the existing opportunities and constraints within the Specific Plan boundary. The workshop began with a presentation, followed by public questions, followed by an open house to have one-on-one conversations with project team members at the seven stations listed. Community members were encouraged to add their comments to the poster boards that will be documented and considered in the project team’s reports.

Community Workshop #2 Summary
The second Community Workshop was held in the communities of Brawley and West Shores on July 19th and 20th. The project team provided information on the following:
- Recap and integration of community feedback
- The Draft Land Use Alternatives and input
- Future opportunities to get involved with the planning process

Taller Comunitario #1
El primer Taller Comunitario para el Plan Específico deLithium Valley y el Informe de Impacto Ambiental Programático ocurrió en persona la noche del 19 de enero de 2023 en el Auditorio de Calipatria High School. El propósito de la reunión fue escuchar los pensamientos y preocupaciones de la comunidad con respecto a las oportunidades y limitantes existentes en la Área de Estudio. El taller comenzó con una presentación, seguido con preguntas del público, seguida con una casa abierta para tener conversaciones personales con los miembros del equipo del proyecto sobre los siete temas listado. Los miembros de la comunidad fueron alentados agregar sus comentarios a las cartulinas que se documentarán y considerarán en los informes del equipo del proyecto.
